This site tells me some basic facts about Ga-Adangbe but there were facts here that other sites didn’t have. They told me about Homowo’s story behind the name and what happens on this particular day. I learned that women will eat after the men which is kinda the same as my own Hmong culture. I also learned that the Ga people are mostly known for boxing otherwise their funerals are popular too.

It tells me about the Homowo and how everyone plays a roll in getting ready for the Homowo to arrive. They also tells me the foods that are prepared and eaten. For the funerals, the weathier family will pay for the funeral because the funeral cost a lot due to the customized coffin. They also tells me a brief summary of what the Ga thinks of the afterlife and what they do to keep in contact with the afterlife.

This website helped us understand the history of the Ga-Adangbe people. It also tells us the different dialets and languages of their language changing. Also they tells us the different tribes there are in the Ga-Adangbe now and before. They provide us the history of jobs that kept the Ga people occupied and how that job changed into something different. It tells us how the different tribes lean on eachother to improve on their own bein and tribe as a whole.

This site helped us know the basic living of the Ga-Adangbe people. It gave us the main points of their living customs and their history of their people. It mainly helped us know the Ga-Adangbe’s rituals of the young and old. We clearly know where their people lives and their current population due to the new information that was added.

The lands are full of sandy places however there are forests that surrounds the northern part of Ghana. There are many rivers that flows through but there are not any natural harbors.

This site gave me the overall of Ghana and how each individual tribes come together and do things together. It also tell me the festivals that all the tribes do together and what they do to prepare for that celebration together. It also tells the activities that all the people likes to do and their profession. The music instruments mostly contains of drums, gongs, and bells.

This site tells us one specific celebration or ritual in the Ga culture, the Homowo. This site tells us in details the process of preparing for the Homowo and what shall be done for the Homowo to work. It also tells us in details where the Homowo takes place and who among the tribe, in specific, celebrates this ritual. This site also provides us a little background of the Ga who lives in Ghana and the history of Homowo. They tells us the foods that are made and prepared to eat the day of, before, or after the Homowo.

This site helped us learn the religion of the Ga people and it explained the who details of the spirits all the way to the mediums. It also told us about the economics of who takes care of what and what they do as a job in general. The work they do intertwines so that they can help each other out when it’s needed. They also tells us about the trading system and ohw a right was passed because the women made their way up the social ladder. It also told us about the industrial arts that they do such as weaving, making and molding golds into bars and jewelry.
